Following the recent tragic deaths of two children caused by window blind loop cords Bob The Blindman is committing over £3000 to a UK wide child safety campaign to make customers aware of the possible dangers of window blind cords via advertising and his web site www.bobtheblindman.co.uk
Bob Walker MD of Bob The Blindman said “we at Bob the Blindman have always advised our customers of the possible dangers of window blind cords and have for a number of years offered a child safe option on all blinds we fit. Since the tragic deaths recently reported in the news we have made a commitment to provide every one of our new and existing customers the opportunity to have a cord safe device fitted to all of their blinds absolutely FREE.”
“We also have committed to providing anyone in the UK the same device which is simple to fit at a very nominal price of 0.50p half of which will be donated to the NSPCC. Bob The Blindman is spending in excess of £3000 on this campaign and we are committed to ensuring all blinds in the UK can be made safer. Our company has always fitted cord cleats etc when requested and have consistently advised customers on control cord placement and length” said Bob, ” but now our company will insist that every blind we fit must have a cord safety device fitted”
Bob The Blindman will offer all existing customers the cord devices free of charge for any blinds we have fitted and they can make a donation to the NSPCC if they wish, but anyone who has blinds fitted in their home from any other source can also request the cord safety packs at a cost of 0.50p each including postage and packing 25p of which will be donated to the NSPCC
